Therefore, taxes must be received in this office on or before the 10 th. Please note that the State of New Jersey does not allow the Tax Collector to acknowledge postmarks and that the Tax Collector is not responsible for lost or delayed mail. There is a 10 day grace period after which interest is applied. Taxes are due on the first of February, May, August and November. Property tax bills are mailed once per year in July and include four (4) quarterly payments. Depositing all monies received in one or more depositories, in accordance with the Township’s Cash Management Plan, and maintaining complete records and accounts of all sums collected.Preparing and mailing tax bills, collecting taxes, and maintaining tax accounting records.Performing tax searches and other liens on real property in the Township and charging and collecting fees for such searches. Note that interest charges on payments made after the grace period are calculated back to the August 1 due date. The certified tax rate has been received from the State of New Jersey and the annual tax bills have been mailed.
